Link to the Video –Permanent Temporary

Traditional employment as we know it has been changing. Temporary employment agencies are playing a greater role in the staffing needs of many industry sectors. As such, regulatory gray areas are surfacing. Temporary workers may not receive adequate occupational health and safety training or tools required to perform the job. In addition, any injuries may be unreported as accountability may be unclear.  Socio-psychological issues can further influence the temporary worker’s ability to concentrate and work safely. This video link provides one view of the potential for exploitation of temporary workers.
